Officials

An official is an individual who, through his actions, reports or decisions, can directly or indirectly influence the outcome of a race. When in office, he becomes a representative of Auto Sport Québec and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

During a race, they are in charge of the starting procedure: it is their job to signal to the starter and the other drivers if a car has a problem or cannot start. They are also in charge of the false grid, the place where the vehicles are placed in starting order before going on the track, both in karting and on the road circuit. They must place the cars in the starting order according to the results of qualifying or practice.
